Why formapura-concept?

formapura-concept is pure exercise of style.

It is the concept of form that we are interested in considering and emphasizing, not content! The same content can be expressed in thousands of ways and will be different from conventional ones. Do not expect a concept expressed in a classical way with a design already seen. We rework that same concept, we change its connotations, we give it a new form, losing ourselves in the lines that slide in a fluid and harmonious way, until the point of creating its final structure. And the material we use is the co-star. In fact, in all our objects, if the form is the "prima donna", wood is the means of expression that we use mainly, a noble and natural material which allows multiple possibilities, on which we develop our ecological creativity.
The passion with which Serena designs, sculpts, carves and defines her works, in this world made of wood, is also a reflection of an attitude towards details and accuracy. An idea of beauty that cannot be in a hurry, nor be content with superficial appearances. A beauty that has distant roots ...

formapura was born from an idea of Serena Fortin in 2003 to create a jewel from a carved wood shape. Make a small sculpture that you can take with you, to dress. "formapura wear a sculpture" is his motto. Use a lively and noble material such as wood that, once carefully carved and finished by hand, only needs one mount to be worn. From here begins the search for the right materials and also collaborations with artisans and goldsmith sector companies. Through these interesting collaborations, the opportunity arose to exhibit these works at international fairs most important in the sector: “International gold, silver and jewelry exhibition OROAREZZO” and the “Fiera Internazionale VICENZA ORO”.

Since 2007 after moving to Spain, Serena Fortin began producing indoor wood sculptures. She sculpt, carve and polish taking inspiration from nature, giving life to an abstract plasticity with evocative lines and sinuous movements. In this way formapura, also introduces itself to the world of art galleries participating in individual and collective exhibitions..(see Biography - Exhibitions). Over time, the curiosity to try other materials, gives the possibility of adding to the Jewels a new line of products: Contemporary Jewels. Now, therefore, she proposes an innovative contrast between natural and synthetic material: the wood-Micarta combination, where the shapes are simplified to give prominence to the essences of noble woods, in their splendid natural colors in contrast to the black of Micarta. Always pieces unique and original handmade, but offering new creative opportunities. In 2019, the decision to introduce the design and construction of lamps with led tenology gives life to the new project. formapura-concept is born.
